Precision Measurement and Control Technology Team

The team is composed of the key teachers in the school of mechatronic engineering. Currently the team has a permanent staff of 20 member, among whom 5 professors, 8 associate professors and 12 Doctors in engineering.

The team has five research areas, including complex surface forming and measurement technology, precision instrument design technology, numerical control technology, sensor technology, process control technology, etc. With the development of more than two decades, the team has formed a research direction focusing on precision measurement technology and military square cabin technology in the upmarket equipment manufacturing field. Among them, the measurement theory, forming theory, key technology, equipment development and other aspects of the gear and cutter are in the domestic leading level.

Currently the team has two research platforms, National and Provincial Joint Engineering Research Center of Precision and Ultra Precision Machining and Measuring, Engineering Research Center of Precision and Ultra Precision Machining and Measuring of Shannxi Province.

In the past five years, the team has undertaken 10 national projects provincial and ministerial projects. The total amount of scientific research is over 5000 million RMB. 5 awards above provincial and ministerial levels were conferred to the team, whose staff members have published over 20 SCI papers and have acquired over 20 national invention patents. Through theoretical innovation and technical practice, it has become an important in-school research base.

 

The team has several laboratories covering a total area of 560 m2. Ultra-clean laboratory is used for precision measurement experimental research, equipped with precision measurement instruments; Thermostatic laboratory is mainly used for precision instrument design, assembly and debugging; Electric installation laboratory is used to control the assembly and debugging of electrical appliances. There are many precision equipments, including TAlYROUND290 ternometer, VML300 3D optical image measuring instrument, JB-4C roughness measuring instrument, ML10 laser interferometer, QC20 ball bar meter, etc. The self-made equipments include CNC gear measurement center (C40, 3903, CCZ40), XL CNC off-line grinding wheel shaping machine, low-frequency ultra-low frequency vibration excitation and testing system, etc.
